Activities

Opportunities abound at FPC to get together and have a good time.  While this doesn’t always involve eating, there’s a fairly good chance that when we gather in numbers, food will be involved!  Whether you are new to the church or a long time member, there is always a place for you at our table.  Come, let us break bread together and rejoice!

Adult Bowling Team

Our Farragut Presbyterian Adult Bowling Team is in full swing from September to May.  We have 6 members for a team, both men and women, that bowl weekly on Thursday nights at Family Bowl.  This is a church league sponsored by Concord United Methodist and is a mixed adult handicapped league.  Call the office at 865-966-9547 to join the fun!

Yoga Classes

Jennifer Trussell, an RYT-500/RCYT Yoga Alliance registered teacher, teaches a Gentle Yoga Class most Friday evenings from 7-8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.  Classes are open to anyone, and all are welcome!  The class is a gentle flow style class appropriate for all levels of yoga experience, including beginners.  Please dress in comfortable clothing, and bring a mat and block if desired.
(This class is also taught on Fridays at 8:15 a.m. at the Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd.)

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is also offered most Mondays and Fridays at 10am in the Narthex. Chair Yoga classes are taught by Jenny Trussell (RYT500/RYCT) and Collin Greaser (RYT200) and are perfect for beginners, seniors, and those with limited mobility and balance concerns.  Please dress in comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.

All classes are  offered at no cost.  Please reach out to Jenny Trussell at CEDARSTUDIOS4@GMAIL.COM for additional information or to schedule a private introductory session!  Sorry, no childcare is available.

Wednesday Night FELLOWSHIP Golf League

The 2022 Season for our FPC Fellowship Golf League at Avalon Golf and Country Club ended on October 19 with a chilly 9-hole round followed by pizza and fun at the home of MaryAnne and Wayne Walls. Our sincere thanks to Wayne for sending weekly reminder emails, organizing teams and securing tee times, and enlisting a substitute (usually Kathy Emmerson) to cover his duties whenever he and MaryAnne were out of town.

If you would like to join us next spring, watch for information in our Good News Banner newsletter, our weekly bulletins, or announcements here on the website. See you soon!
